Agfa Ephoto 1680 | $479.95 | | |
Agfa's ePhoto 1680 digital camera is the next-generation edition of the successful ePhoto 1280. The silver-toned ePhoto 1680 incorporates the unique and highly functional design of the ePhoto 1280, yet the new camera is more technically advanced-including a true 1.3 megapixel CCD sensor and a 6x zoom (3x continuous optical + 2x digital in VGA mode). The ePhoto 1680 is ideal for capturing images to put in electronic publications, multimedia presentations, slide shows and Web sites, in brochures, catalogs, cards and other printed materials.
The design of the ePhoto 1680 is similar to the ePhoto 1280, featuring the 280-degree Flash Track(TM) swivel zoom lens, a 2" superior quality LCD, and the EasyPilot(TM) one-button control for accessing all camera functions. The main difference between the two cameras is the CCD sensor. While the ePhoto 1280 has an 810,000 pixel sensor, the ePhoto 1680 features a true 1.3 million pixel sensor for producing photo quality images. In addition, with Agfa's PhotoGenie(TM) image enhancement technology, the ePhoto 1680 is able to achieve a resolution of 1.9 million pixels for extremely crisp and clean enlargements.
The ePhoto 1680 also includes a 6x zoom (3x optical plus 2x digital), and the camera supports a unique black and white document mode for capturing text or data. The camera also includes several improvements over the ePhoto 1280 which make it even more user friendly, including faster processing speed, interruptible image capture and playback, the ability to save camera settings, and the ability to select any number of images for deletion at one time.
As with the ePhoto 1280, the ePhoto 1680 includes four flash modes, video out, supportfor SSFDC SmartMedia(TM) cards, and other advanced settings-including manual exposure and focus settings, white balance and external flash synchronization.
In addition, the ePhoto 1680 includes the following functions previously unavailable with the ePhoto 1280:
Save Preferences: ability to save camera settings.
Document Mode: ability to take pictures of text (in black and white) for later use in documents (after OCR conversion).
