lly low dispersion characteristics which optical glass cannot achieve. By incorporating fluorite in lenses, the focusing points of the three primary spectral colors of red, green and blue all meet at one point for ideal correction of chromatic aberration,

istance is one foot closer than the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM, providing outstanding flexibility for close-ups. The EF 70-200mm f/4L USM is fully compatible with Extension Tubes EF 12 and EF 25, as well as Extenders EF 1.4x and EF 2x. AF is supported with an
y EOS body when Extender EF 1.4x is used, and central-point AF is possible when Extender EF 2x is used with the EOS-3. Weighing only 1.56 lb., the new f/4L lens is constructed with a durable metal barrel that is typical of L-series professional lenses. Su
