Advanced Photo System conveniences
Film loading is as simple as opening the cover and popping in a cartridge. The safety lock of the film cartridge chamber prevents unexpected opening of the chamber cover. You can choose among Wide-vision (H), Classic (C), or Panorama (P) photo print types.
The Nuvis 200 records exposure information, including brightness and flash data that can help improve photofinishing, and lets you imprint the data on the back of every photo.
A handy Index Print sheet is included with your processed film, making it easy to identify and organize the pictures. Negatives are returned in the original cartridge for protection from scratching.
2x zoom in compact and contoured design
When your camera's power is on, the Nuvis 200's protective lens cover opens to reveal a superior Nikon 24-48mm zoom lens, including two aspherical lenses, which allows you to take any kind of photos...from wide-angle shots to zoom closeups.
Automatic operation
Autofocus and auto exposure make taking the photos you want as easy as possible. Film loading is also very easy, thanks to the Drop-in loading system.
Versatile flash capability
Auto Flash: Built-in flash automatically fires without fail in dim light.
Anytime Flash: Brightens scenes in situations that might otherwise cause Auto Flash function not to fire, such as when a subject is backlit or cast in shadows in daylight.
Flash Cancel: This feature is handy for capturing the mood of a scene - silhouettes or the natural light of a setting sun, for example - illuminated using available light only.
Red-eye Reduction: Red-Eye Reduction mode helps to keep subjects' eyes looking naturalin photos and free of that "eyes on fire" look.
Slow Sync: Shoots dim scenes by firing flash for foreground subject while taking a long exposure to effectively brighten details of illuminated backgrounds.
Close-up capability, Infinity Focus, and Focus lock
The Nuvis 200 boasts Nikon optics for superior picture crispness and clarity. Autofocus up to nearly 60cm (2.0 ft.) from your subject or use Infinity Focus to shoot distant scenes like cityscapes or landscapes - every picture comes to Nikon sharp.
