This top-of-the-line, rugged workhorse of a camera offers construction and features that will stand up to the most demanding assignment. Its user-selectable five-point autofocusing is linked to multiple metering patterns, while film zips through the camera at up to 10 fps with the EOS 1 RS. The RS has virtually no lag time when the shutter is pressed, and is ideal for action shots, thanks to its fixed pellicle mirror. Eliminating "mirror slap" also greatly reduces vibration.
The EOS 1 N and RS share other features, including 14 custom functions, automatic exposure bracketing, TTL hot shoe and a PC terminal for studio flash; exposure compensation to +/-3EV, wireless remote operation and compatibility with the entire line of Canon EOS lenses.
